Did you know that the Illinois Department of Public Health has implemented an obesity and tobacco prevention initiative as a result of funding from the Affordable Health Care Act? The We Choose Health initiative is working with local coalitions and communities to introduce proactive health programs that fall under three categories: Health Eating and Active Living; Smoke-free Living; and Healthy and Safe Built Environment.
