February 26, 2014
As of February 1, 2014, it has been reported that over 3.3 million Americans have signed up for healthcare through the marketplace. If you are currently uninsured, you may want to spend a little time looking through www.getcoveredillinois.gov to see what kind of plan would work best for you.
There is still time to choose a plan and for your coverage to begin this year. However, if you do not enroll by March 31, 2014, you will not have health insurance coverage available through the marketplace until 2015.
The plans can range in coverage and fees; it is not a one size fits all. There are some coverage provisions that are included in all plans. If you do not have health insurance coverage, you will be penalized for not adhering to the Affordable Care Act law.
