We are thinking of cutting our own Black walnut trees to sell. I understand there is a certain way they should be cut, by pushing the bar straight through the middle of the tree then cutting the legs off. What is this called and does anyone have any more details on how this is done? Thanks in advance.

Greetings Gary:

The method you are describing is called bore cutting or plunge cutting.

For details on this method, please visit the following Website:

Best of luck!
