Garlic Proprogation

One garlic plant has turned into six this spring. The plants are very close together. Is this OK? If they should be farther apart when is the best time to do it and how far apart should they be?

Hi, I would not worry about moving them or spreading them out at this time. If you are talking about garlic that you harvest for cloves then they are usually planted about mid to late summer. If this is something like garlic chives I would suggest moving them in early spring.
