I have planted basil, chive, cliantro, parsley and mint in a box style pot. Does it make a difference switch plant is next to each other and in the same planter and do these need full sun or shade to grow?

Hi, All of the herbs you have prefere full sun. the basil and cilantro are annuals and will need replanting each year. The parsley is biennial so the first year it will look fine and the second year it will start to flower and the leaf production may not be as good. the mint is perennial and very aggressive so yo may want to put that in a pot by itself. The chive is also a perennial and does well with other things. A mixed herb pot like this is fine and the only one to watch out for is the mint which can take over pretty quick.
