I have a tree rose and a miniature rose planted in containers. I was wondering if it si still too early to place them outside. I am in zone 5 in Illinois. I have wintered them over inside my apartment. Actually had two blooms in February on my tree rose. I don't want them damaged bu placing tham outside too early.

Hi,

Because these plants have spent the winter indoors they are more than likey very soft and may not be able to take some of the colder nights we can have still. I might suggest that you put them out during the day when temps are above freezing and bring them in at night. Do this for a week or two to acclimatize the plants. Toward mid May we should have temps that are more moderate and then yo cn put them out and leave hem out in the garden,
