I just bought some new tulip bulbs. Is there any way I can plant them now and force them to bloom this year?

Hi,

Tulip bulbs bought in the spring could be forced into flowering this spring if they have been subjected to cool temperatures for about 6-8 weeks. This means precooling the bulbs prior to planting. That is why spring bulbs are planted in the fall so as to take advantage of normal cool soil temperatures to allow them to bloom in the spring.
