What would cause narcissa bulbs to not bloom after overwintering? A friend had overwintered some narcissa bulbs in the garage. When it came time to get them out again, she cleaned the same pot and made sure no debris was clinging. She set the bulbs in the water. The plants grew leaves but no blooms.

Hi,

If you are talking about paper white narcissis they are generally treated as one time bloomers because once they bloom all of the energy required for flowering is used and not much left after that for any type of repeat bloom. Perhaps if the bulbs are allowed to grow leaves for a season and resupply the bulb with food reserves they may bloom next year.
