We found a small salamander type of animal in a clump of liastra we were digging up. I have read about this animal but can't remember where to find the article. It was a bit blacker than the color of a slug, had four very short legs, a long tail like a tadpole, mouth on the underside of the head which was rounded in front. We did get a picture and can send it to you but I thought you might know what it is. Thanks.

Hi, I'm sorry but I really have no experetise in the identification of these type of things. My only suggestion would be to go to a nature center facility if there is one close to you that may help.
