I'd like to plan emerald green arborvitae to provide a screening for a small patio in the city. What is the best time of year to plant? Is their a variety of arborvitae that is more likely to stay on the narrow/shorter side? Thanks!

Hi,
Emerald green arborvitae are good plants to use as a screen. if you can find them either potted or balled and burlapped they can be planted any time during the growing season. Water as needed after planting to get them established.
