Pepper plants

We have a variety of peppers, serrano, jalapeno, habanero, green peppers, anaheim.

The habanero leaves are scrunched and the plants are very small with no flowers yet.

One of the serrano plants has just keeled over, so we staked it.

There have been flowers, but they seem to dry up instead of creating the peppers.

We water when the ground is dry.

What is happening?

Hi,

Right now we are seeing a lot of issues that are related to dry soils and high temperatures. with peppers tomatoes etc flowers will abort when temperatures get above about 85-90. when it gets cooler flowrs will stay on the plant and set fruit. the curled leaves may also be another issue due dry soils. If you water make sure apply enough to water deeply and then use a muclh to retain the moisture for as long as possible. this also keeps soils cool and roots do better under these conditions .
