My question is how do we know the length of time to water a perenial bed of flowers with a soaker hose. We have always used overhead sprinklers but want to try a soaker hose.

Hi,
One way is to place a few tuna fish cans directly under the soaker hose in a few places and when about an inch of water has accumulated in the cans you would have applied the suggestaed amount of water most plants like to have applied in a week.
