I just purchased this home and a small tree is here , I believe it is some form of euonymus .It is about 15 feet tall with a short trunk and multiple intertwined branches. It has been hacked at to keep it under control and I am wondering what is the correct way to trim this tree. They have sawed branches from the bottom so now the top branches are touching the ground when it rains , sometimes breaking. I have photos but I see no way to post them here. Noone has been able to tell me exactly what it is. Thank you.
