hi there. my son brought a birds nest into our home on our kitchen table. we left to go camping for a few days and came back to realize the nest was still on the counter. we got rid of the nest to find out there are little bird mites crawling around the counters and cubbords and kitchen window. i cleaned the area with kitchen cleaners and seems to get rid of most of them. but theres still a few lingering around. will they die and go away? or does action need to be taken?

Hi, Bird mites do need a food source (blood) to live and reproduce. if they don't have birds they may start to attack humans and if they don't fed they die off. So doing a thorough job of cleaning and perhaps a ready to use indoor inset spray in the cracks and crevices would help to make sure they don't find a place to stay.
