Larry -I'm guessing that this tree also has quite a few blossoms which is why you grow it! Botanically speaking, the only way to reduce the number of seed pods is to reduce the number of blooms - and I don't know if you want to do that. There are chemicals that can - but I believe they are restricted use (meaning you need a license to purchase/use).
