Earlier this week we were able to complete the grain harvest from the canola research trial here at the Center. The purpose of the trial was to compare varietal response to nitrogen and sulfur treatments.
We have been hand-harvesting one block of the trial every 10 days this spring to measure nitrogen use efficiency and biomass accumulation. As the picture shows, the grain harvest was something of a challenge with our small plot combine!
