The State 4-H Office is working on a research project to learn more about 4-H club experiences. SOME 4-H clubs in each county have been selected at random to participate in a survey. We would like parents to be aware that their child might be asked to participate. The following is some general information related to the survey. In 2017, we will be collecting data statewide to answer some critical questions: (1) Are we incorporating the essential elements of positive youth development programming into our 4-H club, program, and event experiences? (2) Have we guided youth towards making healthy lifestyle choices? (3) Have we positively influenced youth’s aspirations and interest in science? (4) How have we influenced our 4-H members’ career decisions? We will collect this data by asking members in some of our clubs to complete a survey, or by asking youth attending programs and events for 4-H members and non-members. If you have any questions about please contact your local 4-H program coordinator.
