Clinton Co 4-H Horse Bowl & Hippology

For 4-H members/Parents who don't know what Horse Bowl and Hippology is:

Horse Bowl is a contest where teams compete against each other on horse knowledge. There are two divisions:  junior/8-13, and seniors 14-18. The regional contest is held in March to determine which teams may advance to the state horse bowl contest. The state contest is in April.

Hippology is the study of horses. The contest consists of a written examination and 10 different horse stations. Each station will be on a different horse topic. The topics could be on parts of the horse, horse events, parts of the saddle, types of feed, digestive system, reproduction system, horse colors, etc… Hippology is divided into three age groups: junior/8-11, intermediate/12-14, and senior /15-18. Each participant will complete in their respective regional contest to determine who may advance to the state hippology contest. The state contest is held in April.
