GROWING A NEW GENERATION OF ILLINOIS FRUIT AND VEGETABLE FARMERS - U of I will begin a 3 year project funded by the USDA NIFA's Begining Farmer and Rancher Development Program to increase the number of commercial fruit and vegetable farmers in Illinois. The year long program will provide classroom and hands-on in-field instructions. High school, community college Ag teachers, and the general public are welcome to participate.
