2018 University of Illinois Master Gardener Training Taking Registration

2018  University of Illinois Master Gardener Training Taking Registration

University of Illinois Extension will be offering the Illinois Master Gardener Program beginning January 23, 2018 through April 3, 2018. The program will be offered in Extension Unit 23 which includes Bond, Clinton, Marion, Jefferson and Washington Counties. This program is offered only one time per year and many area gardeners are anticipating the new sessions. Fall is an ideal time to plan for and register for the upcoming program to guarantee placement.

This program does not require a college degree or years of experience. All you need is a sincere desire to learn and share information about gardening, and be willing to devote time to volunteering in your community and participate in on-going training.

Participants will receive classroom training for an 11-week period beginning Tuesday, January 23, 2018. The weekly classes will cover a wide assortment of topics. By the end of the program participants will have a broad knowledge of many horticulture topics that can be applied in many ways through University of Illinois Extension.
