The Jefferson County 4-H Youth Representatives planned and led a Cloverbud Day Camp for youth ages 5-8 at the Jefferson County Extension Office. The Youth Reps provided activities that older 4-H members would participate in. Youth discussed parts of a plant, decorated their own flower pots and planted marigolds to take home. Youth discussed safety in the garden and sun safety. Youth participated in relays related to being home alone. Youth painted their own camp t-shirt and were able to learn about some of the animals that our 4-H members raise-calf, goat, rabbit, kittens. Participants performed a handwashing experiment and made their own lunch of biscuit pizza, vegies and vegie dip, and 4-H's own magic fruit salad. For snack participants made squeeze freeze ice cream.
