DeKalb County 4-H Fair Book

This is the 2012 4-H Fairbook where 4-H members will find exhibit descriptions, entry forms and judging details for the 4-H General Project Show on July 18 & 19 at the Center for Agriculture Building as well as the 4-H Livestock Fair on August 3, 4 & 5 at the Sandwich Fairgrounds.

The 4-H General Project Show and 4-H Livestock Fair offer wonderful opportunities for our 4-H members to grow and learn not only within their project areas, but also as a person. Judging opportunities such as these allow 4-H members to receive positive feedback, enhance and develop their communication skills, learn how to work with others, as well as increase their self-esteem.

The 4-H program emphasizes learning by doing by offering hands-on opportunities within each project area where youth can take leadership of their learning experience. Because the 4-H Show and Fair are great ways to see the accomplishments of the 4-H members project work, all 4-H members are encouraged to participate in this educational experience.
