In October, a group of members worked at the Lacon Senior Citizen Housing, helping the residents with house work and cleaning. A couple of them also went to the Lacon Food Pantry to help.

The regular October meeting was highlighted with many rounds of Bash A Friend.

In our effort of Randomness, the November meeting was held at the Marshall County Airport. After the business meeting, we had fun playing Four on a Couch.

The Community Service Committee spent a recent Saturday shopping for Federation's adopted family.

The December meeting was held at Lake Wildwood. For the third time in a row, it has rained the day/night of our Federation meeting. This time the rain was on top of snow packed roads. So many of our members were not able to make it. The small group that was there had fun eating baked potatoes and ice cream sundaes and drinking hot chocolate around the fire. After lunch and a meeting, we wrapped gifts for our adopted family and then played games.

Oh my.....our 2009-2010 Group Photo will be one that we talk about for many years to come. It is a beautiful picture, but it was very very cold. Our wish for a winter scene photo worked out, with snow on the ground and a clear blue sky. The roads were clear enough to travel. The only glitch was the fridge temps and the slight breeze. Thankfully, the Fecht's had their home nice and toasty for us to warm up while we had our January meeting. (I believe our unique photo journalism for this meeting is compliments of Thomas Downey)

At the February meeting, the members started their plans for the Guys vs. Girls Dinner. The guys are making plans for a dinner for the girls and vice versa.

The annual ski trip also happened in February. We spent the weekend in Wisconsin and enjoyed skiing at Cascade Mountain.

The Girls hosted their meal for the guys on March 13th. They planned a Mexican themed lunch.

The March meeting started out with a teambuilding activity. The groups were divided into teams of 4 people. The teams had to have at least 3 schools, 3 ages and male and female representation. Then they had to write as many facts about each team member on to strips of paper. After a limited amount of time, the teams were then challenged to attach the strips into a chain as long as possible in three minutes time.

The Lacon Catholic church was nice enough to allow us to use their youth group room and we enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. Our challenge of Randomness continues.

The April meeting took us back to Lacon. This time to the bowling alley. We held our business meeting in Club LaCon and then bowled a few games.

An Amazing Race challenge was the team building activity in May. Federation teams started from the Farm Bureau building and decifered clues and completed challenges to finish the race. The winning team was Thomas, Wes, Will and Brian.

June took us out the rural Sparland. We enjoyed a beautiful evening swimming at Leigh's pond.
