Edgar County 4-H has been busy in the past year. Just some of the highlights include a knitting workshop, dog obedience, the 4-H Fair, a petting zoo and participation in the Honeybee Festival parade. The Edgar County HCE was busy with many projects including hosting Father Dominic Garromone "The Bread Monk" presenting his program on autumn breads, working with Edgar County 4-H in creating & filling Christmas stockings for Operation Care Package and hosting several educational programs including "Happy, Healthy, Holiday Cooking" and "The ABC's of GMO's". Our SNAP-Ed Community Worker continues to work with Edgar County Schools, the Bee Well Committee and the Food Pantry to inform residents and students of healthy food and lifestyle choices. Edgar County Master Gardeners kept a busy schedule working with local schools on a worm & butterfly curriculum, maintaining landscaping at the 4-H Fairgrounds and hosting their annual April in Paris Garden Seminar.
