Jessie Crews has been providing leadership to 4-H members, volunteers and local 4-H programs for more than 25 years. She recognizes the role that 4-H plays in helping young people develop skills they will use throughout adulthood. She has worked closely with the 4-H community club program and well as other school and community positive youth development programs.
Crews currently serves as chairperson of the Illinois 4-H Youth Development Team. She is a member of the National Association of Extension 4-H Agents (NAE4-HA) and the Illinois Extension Professionals for Youth Education. She has served as president of IEPYE and was awarded the Distinguished Service Award by NAE4-HA.
Crews received both her bachelor and master of science degrees from Eastern Illinois University. She is a native of Clark County and continues to reside there with her husband and three children.

Crews' leadership includes working with 4-H committees and volunteers to provide 4-H local programming, planning youth workshops and events and training volunteers. Together with 4-H Community Workers in the three counties, Crews provides many opportunities for area youth to develop a variety of life skills. Numerous school enrichment programs and the Kidpower Summer Day Camp program are also among her program offerings.
