Agriculture in YOUR Classroom

Posted by Aimee Chandler -

The school year is right around the corner. The start of the school year means for me going back into classrooms and teaching students about agriculture that is all around us.  Many students don't realize they use agriculture every day!  This year Ford-Iroquois Ag in the Classroom will be making classroom presentations on topics such as apples, soybeans, beef, trees, and Illinois Agriculture.  Many teachers will check out stocked learning kits to help students learn about recycling, pigs, wheat, seasons on the farm, and many other topics.  Classrooms will be linked to area farm families to learn what life is like on a farm.

We are looking forward to a great year of learning and fun.  For more information on how you can use Agriculture in the Classroom in your classroom or school contact Aimee Chandler at 815-268-4051.
