U of I Extension Summer Youth Science Camps offer hands-on Learning

Three-day Summer Science Camps were hosted in Christian, Jersey, Macoupin, & Montgomery counties. Each day was packed full of a variety of science experiments and activities. Youth stayed busy while making crystallized snowflakes, tornadoes in a bottle, “Flubber”, homemade ice cream, neon lights, volcanoes, lava bubble bottles, and so much more. Youth explored science principles by completing a variety of simple experiments including watching a soda bottle geyser. The soda geyser was a big hit by all participants. Youth worked on teamwork, patience, and problem-solving throughout all of these sessions.
