Hot Topic Tuesdays Nutrition & Wellness Classes Coming to Taylorville This Fall

Curious about gluten? Ever wonder what organic really means? Is low carb dieting healthy? Join University of Illinois Extension for a new series of classes covering popular nutrition questions. Lisa Peterson, Nutrition and Wellness educator will be offering a series of one hour classes about gluten, organic, natural, and local foods, and low carbohydrate dieting. Classes will go into depth on these topics and involve fun hands-on activities. Come learn about the latest research, and get the answers to your nutrition questions. All classes will be held at the Christian County Extension Office in Taylorville from 6:30pm-7:30pm at no cost.
September 20th: Organic, Natural, and Local-What it is and What it isn’t: Get updated on the science and learn whether organic, local, or natural foods are really better for you and the environment
September 27th: Is Gluten Free Right for Me?-Should you cut gluten from your diet? Come learn and understand what gluten is and if living gluten-free is the lifestyle for you.
October 25th: The Low Down on Low Carb Dieting-Curious about carbohydrates? Learn all about low carb dieting, health risks, receive recipes, and more.

Registration can also be done by calling the Christian County Extension office at 217-287-7246. Register for one class or register for all!
