4-H Club Survey Information
March 29, 2017
During the months of April and May, Unit 18 4-H will be collecting data from some clubs as part of a statewide initiative to answer critical questions. We will collect this data by asking members in some of our clubs (not all clubs) to complete a survey. The 4-H program coordinator in each county or the 4-H Educator will administer the survey. We do not think there is any danger to your child in completing this survey and every member will be given the option to opt out of the survey if they choose. Surveys will be analyzed at a state level and a report shared with county offices and stakeholders later this year.
The survey is measuring the following:
(1) Are we incorporating the essential elements of positive youth development programming into our 4-H club, program, and event experiences?
(2) Have we guided youth towards making healthy lifestyle choices?
(3) Have we positively influenced youth’s aspirations and interest in science?
(4) How have we influenced our 4-H members’ career decisions?
