Tip for Spending Less on Food:  Purchase fruits and vegetables that are in season or are on sale that week.  Also, plan your meals around sales at the grocery store.

Nutrition Program Tips

You can add flavor to grains without adding fat by cooking in broth or tomato juice.  Also by adding garlic, onions, celery, carrots and using herbs and spices like curry powder, cumin, thyme and basil.
