With warm weather just around the corner, local horticulturists were invited to "get into the mood" at the University of Illinois Extension Gardener's Day on Saturday, March 28, at the Carlinville Lutheran Church.

The program featured breakout sessions with topics including: "Plants You Should Have in your Landscape," Todd Salzman, Lakeview Nursery; "What to do for a Great Crop of Berries, Brambles," Dale Conrady, Owner of Backwood Berries; "Animal Nuisance," Pam Lippert, Treehouse Wildlife Center; "Vegetable Gardening and Community Supported Agriculture," Mike Dunn, Dunn Wright Farm; "Wildlife Rescue," Pam Lippert, Treehouse Wildlife Center; "A Palette of Annuals," Carol Wallace, U of I Master Gardener; and "Using Herbs," Judy DeWerff, U of I Master Gardener.
