University of Illinois Extension increasingly uses trained Master Gardener volunteers to meet the constant demand for horticultural consumer information by citizens of our state. In 2004, 72 of 75 extension units had Master Gardeners. There are currently more than 3,300 Master Gardener volunteers in Illinois.

The "Ask a Master Gardener" articles featured in Daily Herald of Arlington Heights, Illinois. Phillip Hiller, Wally Schmidtke, Donna Siemro and Gil Solarz, University of Illinois Extension volunteers, write the article.

If you have questions and want more home gardening information, feel free to call (847) 818-2901 or (847) 298-3502, weekdays. (Hours of availability are reduced during the fall/winter months.)

The mission of the University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener program is "Helping Others Learn to Grow".
