Tree killing insects have been confirmed in Belvidere.

Emerald Ash Borers only affect ash trees.

The Illinois Department of Agriculture says its difficult to quantify the severity of the infestation. The IDA says the entire ash population may be at risk or already infested.

Firewood Dealers:Register with Illinois Department of Ag

Attention Firewood Dealers: All firewood dealers importing firewood into the state of Illinois must register with the Illinois Department of Agriculture. This is being done to prevent the transporting of contaminated firewood from an infested location to a non-infested location which promotes the spread of EAB across the Midwest

EAB in Austin, Texas
