HORT 343 Non-Credit Herbaceous Plants I

Dates: Mondays, August 27th to December 10th, 2007

Time: 6:30 p.m. to 9:20 p.m.

Non-Credit Fee: $375 (this is a flat fee section for those enrolled for professional development only; course will not appear on transcript)

Location: Oak Brook Multi-University Center, Oak Brook, IL

Instructor: James Schmidt, Department of NRES, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign

Course Description: This course includes identification, culture, and landscape use of herbaceous, frost-tender ornamental plants. Emphasis on flowering annuals, tropical foliage plants used for outdoor displays, and foliage plants used for interiorscaping. Elements of design will be addressed; design projects will integrate concepts.
