Enter to play golf at the Kendall County Fair Benefit Golf Outing to be held June 19 at Bliss Creek Golf Course in Aurora. Entry fee is $85 which includes, golf, a cart and steak buffet. The Kendall County 4-H Pork Chop Dinner will be held at the fairgrounds on July 20. Local 4-H families have tickets for sale, $7 pork burger meal, $11 one chop meal, $12 two chop meal. Tickets also available at the Extension Office until July 6. A flyer can be found to the right of the screen.Kendall County has a very active 4-H youth membership with 14 community clubs, 2 cloverbud groups, 2 independent clubs and 1 school club, there are 291 youth. Leading these groups are 55 volunteer adults. The volunteer leaders have a total of 418 years of service in the 4-H Youth Development Program. Please call 630-553-5823 for more information.
This program reaches across the county to train teachers, provide after-school programs for area schools and organizations, and works directly with students. Throughout the school year over 4,000 students participated in projects that included; aerospace, entomology, the scientific process, wind energy, health and wellness, career exploration, composition, embryology and financial literacy.
