REGISTRATION OPENS on SEPT. 8th

The 3rd annual ‘Hands On, Minds On’ event brings back a morning of science through hands-on, interactive fun. This year’s program is fun with food science, designed for youth in 3rd through 6th grades. Hands On, Minds On encourages youth to think “like a scientist” through creative, challenging 4-H science curriculum.     

Monday, Oct. 10 at the Kane County Fairgrounds (north end of Robinson Hall)

Check-in 9-9:30 a.m./Program from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Hands On, Minds On 3.0 provides an opportunity to: 

  • Learn how starch chemistry works and test foods for the presence of starch
  • Experience food science in action with chemical reactions that make fizzy volcanoes
  • Explore how foods transform when cooked and why others change color in the air.
  • Plus, there’s the chance to get sticky and gooey!
