Enjoy Your Fresh Fruit and Vegetables All Year with Yes! You CAN: Preserving Practice in DeWitt County

Enjoy summer produce all year long with a timely seasonal program on home canning with an opportunity to practice preserving safely. This summer, University of Illinois Extension is hosting Yes! You CAN: Preserving Practice series held at the DeWitt County Extension Office located at 8425 Katie Road in Clinton from 6 until 9pm. Classes include Tomatoes & Tomato Products on May 5,
Pickles & Pickle Products on June 30 and Jams & Jellies on July 7.

During each class, participants will have the opportunity to learn the basics of home canning, receive the latest safety guidelines, practice hands-on canning of different products and take a jar of food home to enjoy! Nutrition & Wellness Educator Caitlin Huth will lead each class.

Cost for each class is $20. Advance registration at least one week prior to each class is required by visiting or by calling the DeWitt County Extension Office at 217. 935.5764. For additional information, contact Caitlin Huth at or 217.877.6042.
