Aim to Learn with Summer 4-H Shotgun Club

Registration is now open for the 4-H Shotgun Club provided through the Macon County Office of University of Illinois Extension. Members will learn the principles of shooting, marksmanship as well as safe and responsible use of firearms from a certified adult instructor.

The club will start June 5 and run until July 31 with meetings from 6 to 8:30pm every Monday in rural northeast Macon County. The program address will be made available upon registration. Participants must be between the ages of 10 to 18 as of September 1, 2016 in order to enroll. Don’t have a shotgun? No problem, we have you covered.

The cost to participate is $40 for 4-H members and $50 for non-members. Register by May 26 online at or by calling the Macon County Extension office at 217.877.6042. Class size is limited so register early. If you have questions or need information, please contact Becky Hugo at
