Get Ready for Spring with Master Gardener Plant Sale

Spring is coming, are you ready? The 2018 Plant Sale sponsored by the Macon County Master Gardeners will be Saturday, May 5. From 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., shoppers can take their pick from hundreds of varieties of plants at the Macon County Fairgrounds at 3700 N. Westlawn Ave., Decatur.

The annual Plant Sale provides a variety of plants fit for every gardener and any space. Offerings include a large collection of annuals, Master Gardener shared perennials, flowers, hundreds of hosta varieties, vegetable plants, heirloom tomato plants, a diverse selection of herbs and succulents grown by the Decatur Correctional Center Master Gardeners. The Glacier’s Edge Master Naturalists will also be selling plants native to Central Illinois.

Shop early for the best selection of plants and great deals. Gently used garden tools and supplies will be also available for purchase. For your convenience, we will accept cash or checks as payment. We cannot take credit card payments.

The Master Gardeners are trained by University of Illinois Extension. Master Gardeners volunteer their time and expertise by sharing their horticulture skills through community garden projects and educational outreach.
