About the 2009 Environmental
Leadership Conference

The time is now for local leaders to address green issues in their communities.  Public support is high. Economic conditions demand careful stewardship of financial and natural resources. And the federal stimulus package offers funding for environmental programs while aiming to create jobs and build a more sustainable economy.

The 2009 Environmental Leadership Conference will harness environmental concern and turn it into real-life, practical, cost-effective solutions to help you preserve and improve your community’s quality of life.

The University of Illinois Extension has assembled an outstanding group of experts from universities, government, non-profits and industry. One day will give you new inspiration about green possibilities, but also equip you with programs to implement, university resources to help and partnerships with University of Illinois and its Extension
