4-H is the youth education program of University of Illinois Extension. 4-H is a welcoming, respected organization where kids learn new skills, meet new people, and have lots of fun. 4-H is open to youth ages 8-18 as of the beginning of the 4-H year. The current 4-H year runs from 9/1/12 through 8/31/13. Cloverbud membership is open to those ages 5-7, available in some counties. For information on 4-H in your county, contact the University of Illinois Extension Office.
