STEM Related 4-H Special Interest Clubs

  • Amazing Animals 4-H Club
    In this special interest 4-H club led by University of Illinois Extension Master Naturalists we will observe where animals live and find out what they need to survive. We’ll look at the food animals eat, learn how they adapt for different environments, and a variety of foods and discover how every animal is connected. Open to youth ages 7 to 13. Space is limited.

  • Campfire Basics 101 4-H Special Interest Club
    Youth ages 7 to 13 are invited to join University of Illinois Extension Master Naturalists to explore the many methods of how to start a campfire.

  • Gardening Special Interest (SPIN) club
    Youth ages 8 to 18 are invited to join the gardening 4-H SPIN Club to learn gardening skills and help feed the animals at Wildlife Prairie Park.

  • Geology Special Interest Club
    Study rocks, minerals, gems, and fossils and more as we explore the secrets hidden beneath the earth! Through hands-on activities, discover how resources are found, analyzed, and processed, and how they affect our lives. Geared towards youth ages 8 to 15.

  • The Great Outdoors 4-H Club
    Embark on an outdoor adventure led by University of Illinois Extension Master Naturalists to experience a greater appreciation of the natural world and gain skills in outdoor survival. Open to youth ages 7 to 13.

  • Tri County Rocketeers 4-H Club
    Aerospace special interest club. Meets once a month in Pekin. Open to youth ages 8 to 18.

  • Video Filmmaking 4-H Club
    Open to youth ages 12 to 18. The club works together to plan, record, and edit videos. Meetings and editing work are held at the Peoria County Extension office. Video recording opportunities happen at a variety of locations.
