Order your fish


It is getting to be the time of year when stocking your ponds is a good idea.  You can order fish from your county Soil and Water Conservation District or through a farm supply store.  If you are wanting to stock your pond with fish this fall now is the time to order your fish.  Fish orders through the Soil and Water Conservation District for Fulton County orders are due by October 11 and pick up will be October 15th at 8 AM at the office in Lewistown; for Peoria County orders are due by October 16th and pick up is October 19 at 11 AM at the office in Edwards; for Tazewell County orders are due by October 10 and pick up is October 15 at in the morning please contact the office for a time.  You can also check with your local farm supply store to see when you can order fish.  For more information on pond stocking you can contact your local U of I Extension office or your local Soil and Water Conservation District office.
