PQA Certification Schedule
Youth PQA Certification will be held Thursday, April 28 at the Mason County Extension Office at 5:00 p.m. Please call the office at 309-543-3308 to register to attend.

2011 Master Showmanship Contest
Mason County 4-H will be holding a lottery this year to select a 4-H member to represent the county at the Master Showmanship Contest on the ISF grounds on Wednesday, August 12. 4-H members who will be 14 years old by the drawing date of Monday, July 25 and are enrolled in a livestock project will be eligible to make entry.
Please call or stop by the Extension office to make official entry. Those showing interest will receive rules and additional information concerning the contest.
Entrant must provide his or her own livestock for the competition. Entrants must own OR borrow each: a steer or heifer; a market or breeding lamb; and a market hog or breeding gilt.
Horse Clinic
Horse Superintendent Nikki Klein is hosting a 4-H Horse Clinic at her home on Sunday, April 17. Open to all 4-H members enrolled in a horse project, last year's Horse Show judge Sedonia Bodgner will be conducting the clinic. Start time is 4:00 p.m. Participants may start arriving by 3:00 p.m. to unload horses. Location is 9319 Spring Garden Road in Manito.
