Master Gardeners visited the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis and had a WONDERFUL day! The day began with a tour of the Victorian Country home of garden founder Henry Shaw which was decorated for the holidays. This is the nation's oldest botanical garden in continuous operation and is a National Historic Landmark. Nearly 80 acres of meticulous grounds displayed splendid winter beauty. The Garden hosts an annual holiday flower and train show and a holiday wreath display. If your time allows for you to visit, I heartily encourage you to do so.
