Celebrations and Traditions: Strengthening Family and Community

While celebrations and traditions often emit warm and fuzzy thoughts, research indicates they also represent excellent vehicles to strengthen the heritage of families and communities. Plan now to discuss the importance of traditions, explore ideas for maintaining family traditions or creating new ones, and create a plan for documenting celebrations as University of Illinois Extension explores Celebrations and Traditions: Strengthening Family and Community.

University of Illinois Extension, Kankakee County, is sponsoring Celebrations and Traditions: Strengthening Family and Community on March 1, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at University of Illinois Extension, Kankakee County Office, 1650 Commerce Drive, Bourbonnais. This program is open to the public. Registration fee for the general public is $5.00 per person. This program is free for HCE members. Register early for this opportunity; space is limited. Please call 815/933-8337 to register by February 24, 2012.
