4-H The Fun Starts Here. Various life skill building opportunities are offered to youth throughout the year. These opportunities include 4-H Club Activites , Project Workshop Day, 4-H Camp, Teen Federation Trips and Activities, Dog Obedience Classes, Communications Contest, Farm Safety Day Camp (biannually), Pork Quality Assurance Workshop, Henry & Stark Counties 4-H Shows.

Henry-Stark 4-H Fun

The 2010 Northwest Region 4-H Horse Bowl/Hippology Contest date has been set! It will be held on Saturday, April 10 at the Erie High School at 435 6th Ave, Erie, Illinois. Team registration deadline is March 26 to the Rock Island County Unit office. There will be a $2 per person registration fee taken at the door. If you need a registration form contact the Henry-Stark office.

On the day of the contest please remember to bring you #2 pencil for the Hippology Test. Food will be available for purchase, or you can bring your own to the contest.

The day's schedule of events includes:

Registration 8:30 to 9:15 AM
Hippology 9:30 to 11:00 AM
Horse Bowl 11:30 AM with awards following
Horse Judging/Individual Oral Questions 9:30 to 12:30 AM

DATE SET: Mark you calendars for the 4-H Day with the Cardinals. It has been set for Saturday, May 22, 2010. Watch the website and your monthly newsletter for more details. Deadline for this event is April 12.
