The September meeting of the Walnut Grove Progressors took place on September 11, 2011. This was the first meeting for the year and was the meeting in which we elected the club officers. Officers elected where: President- Bethany Main, Vice President- Luke North, Secretary- Harley Carlson, Treasurer- John DeSutter, Reporter- Chris North, Rec.Chr.-Libbie Ramage, Comm.Service-Madelyn Main, Program Chr.-Cody Appell, Sargent of Arms-Brent Nelson, Colin Erickson, Tyler Main, Angus Carlson, and Alec Main, Historian-Madison Norville, Banner Chr.-Andrew Erickson. The next meeting will take place on October 9th at Maggie Dickerson's house; this meeting will be the annual wiener roast. Potential new members are welcome to come just contact Bethany or Christi Main at 484-6811. There were no talks or demonstrations.
For their monthly meeting, the Henderson Aggies had a weenie roast on October 9th. After indulging in the many goodies, the meeting was called to order. Macy Steck read the minutes from last month's meeting and Alayna Nelson gave the treasurers report. Leaders reminded members to send a thank you to those who donated prizes at the fair and also asked that members try to turn in their project forms by next meeting. Since it's the beginning of a new 4-H year, a few of our members brought their friends to the meeting. Everyone introduced their friends and they were encouraged to join 4-H. The club discussed participating in next month's diaper drive. Next month is our pizza party and every member needs to bring two dollars and at least one package of diapers. This meeting will start at 6:30p.m. A special thanks goes to the Hawkinson's for hosting the weenie roast! We hope to see all members and new faces at next month's meeting! :)
Rio Livestock met on the second Sunday of September to have our first 4-H meeting of the year at the Rio Town Hall. We decided to complete a Visual Arts project for our whole club project. A club committee will work on the Cookie Jar for National 4-H Week. In officer elections, Kelsey Litchfield became our new president. Brett Saline was elected vice president. Secretary is Madison Flack and our treasurer is Mason Flack. DJ Cain was elected reporter. Some members planned to walk in the ROWVA Homecoming Parade with the other area 4-H clubs. We also collected diapers for the Federation Diaper Drive. We were excited about planning our upcoming Weinie Roast and Rocket Launch which will be held at the Cain's Farm on Sunday, October 9th at 3:00. Bring a dish to pass and join us!
This October meeting was a wiener roast. We ate first. Then we began the meeting with the pledges. We elected officers: Logan would be president, vice president would be Alex, secretary would be Mitchell, and treasurer would be Zoe. We also decided to have a t-shirt day for 4-H week, it would be Wednesday the 5th. The next meeting will be November 7th at 7:00 p.m. It will be at the Abingdon Banking Center.
Williamsfield town and country start up meeting
The upcoming 4h year for Williamsfield Town and Country 4h club will be fantastic. We kicked off the year with a weiner roast prior to the meeting. We played games and visited and ate wonderful food. We discussed National 4h week and plan to wear our 4h t-shirts on October 6th. We elected new officers: President- Jared Ekstrand, Vice President- Katie Yelm, Secretary- Nikki Scott, Treasurer- Kristen Lafollette, Reporter- Sarah Hanson, Historian- Sarah Powers, Program Chairman- Parker Wight, and Sentinel- Lucas Rask.
The next meeting will be a pizza party on November 6th at the Norman legion hall in Williamsfield. All members are encouraged to bring a friend to the meeting. Prizes will be awarded to the members that bring friends. Its not too late, join our 4h club and have fun and make new friends.
The Hague Hustlers held their kick-off party on Sunday October 16th at Cody Easley's house (Thank you Easley's). We are all excited for our new members that are going to be joining us. Our cookie jar is being displayed at the YMCA, and the window display is also being displayed at Midwest Bank. Winter flowers are coming too! The winter trip committee will include Arleta Brown, George Brown, Cody Easley, Zach Inness, and as the chair Dylan Inness. Our winter party is also coming up too! We will be holding a food drive at the party. The club's next meeting will be on November 7th at 6:30 at Coldbrook Church. We hope to see all of our members there!
