The earliest fair in our four county unit is Henry's! There isn't a great deal of time between school being out to the beginning of the fair. Members of 4-H had to hustle to get everything completed. Many thanks to the wonderful volunteers to contributed in any way to the fair and helped a 4-H member in one way or another.
Highlights were the Henry/Stark senior livestock judging team being announced as the top team in the state, Katie Miller being Master Showmanship delegate, Nick Keener winning the tractor driving contest, a new fashion revue being held, and new staff (Rebecca Ebert) being in our ranks!
The 4-H fair is the culmination of a portion of their hard work and dedication with their chosen projects! How hard the 4-H members strive to do their best is obvious and well respected! We were fortunate to have pretty decent weather and that helped everything! Thanks to the Henry County Fair Board for their help and support during the fair!
It won't be too long and the new 4-H year will begin September 1. Time goes by so fast! See you in Mercer, Rock Island and Stark Counties at their fairs coming up! Be sure to check our Extension calendar for the dates!
