University of Illinois Extension and Outreach Initiative

Eight collaborative projects were awarded two year pilot grants by University of Illinois Extension in July, 2014. Awards were selected from a pool of 71 pre-proposals originating in 16 campus units. The awards were made under the University of Illinois Extension and Outreach Initiative, a special partnership between Extension, the Dean of ACES, and the Office of the Provost.

University of Illinois Extension is the flagship outreach arm of the University. Extension’s statewide network of educators and county-based offices provide programming in economic development, health and nutrition, agriculture and natural resources, and youth development. The U of I Extension and Outreach Initiative was aimed at establishing new partnerships with departments and units across campus.
